Tomorrow the second cohort of The Next 36 will graduate. The Next 36 is a program that selects 36 keen and bright undergraduates from all over Canada, puts them in teams and gives them a big chunk of money each (from $20K – $50K) to develop a mobile app. In the process they receive business lectures (including from yours truly) and an intense summer program.
The result is a suite of apps that have lots of potential and, in some cases, have already launched. If you are interested in what these folk can achieve in less than a year, tune in Tuesday morning at 9am (Eastern Summer Time) to see their presentations.
Disclaimer: I have a financial interest in each of the resulting start-ups.
