My latest book, The Disruption Dilemma, is now available for pre-order on Amazon (hard-cover only). It will be published by MIT Press in March 2016 and there will be an electronic version available by then.
The book arose out of a blog post I wrote last year but also as part of a desire to ground the whole disruption theory in a broader academic literature while refocussing the issue away from “disruption disruption everywhere” to why is it that really successful things doing the ‘right’ things, get into trouble. That was the original question of Clay Christensen’s book, The Innovator’s Dilemma, and the whole business had moved away from that ever since. There is now a body of work — both theory and empirical — that speaks to that and I wanted to bring it all together so there was some place where all the stuff we know is so is kept rather than much of the speculation. Clay, himself, who I have come to know through all of this has endorsed the book even though there are places where we disagree.
